AC only blowing out warm air

inherited my dad's toyota LC and im having problems with the AC. dont wanna bother him about this one since hes too busy with his new unit. anyway my problem is that the AC literally just blows out warm air, ive tried each and every setting, but i noticed that it gets a LITTLE cold when i set it at 16 and the a/c icon is on. I find this ultra odd so now im here.

I think you should try checking out the refrigerant, there may be a leak. I've encountered someone online with a similar problem, his was a faulty compressor. Just take the car for a check, that's what I can suggest

@spudderman010, this AC issue sounds like it's either the refrigerant pulling a disappearing act or the compressor going on strike, which makes sense given @anime_king 's suggestions but have you also checked if the condenser fan is running properly because if that's not working the AC won't cool effectively even with enough refrigerant. Also, when you said it gets a little cold at 16, does it stay consistent or does it fluctuate? Sometimes it's those small details that point to a larger underlying issue. Let us know what the check turns up.

I agree with the commenters above. Better to get this checked, if you havent yet. do let us know how it goes. It could be the compressor but dont take my word for it.

hey, has this been fixed? it reminds me of that time my buddy thought his ac was broken.. it turned out his kids stuffed a lot of snack wrappers in the glove box that it blocked the filter! i mean it's also worth checking the cabin air filter for any clogging if you haven't taken it to the mechanic

I'm not sure if this has been addressed yet, but I felt it was worth sharing. It seems like your air conditioner might be having issues due to low refrigerant or a malfunctioning AC clutch. If it's only able to cool down to 16°C, that usually indicates there's a problem. A smart first step would be to check the refrigerant levels. If they're low, simply adding more could fix the issue pretty quickly and easily.
