Thoughts on installing side body moldings

I want to add side body moldings to my Toyota landcruiser 100 series, not for looks, but to save the doors from rogue parking lot dings and tight trail brushes, I've seen a few options online, OEM style and aftermarket, but is the install process easy peasy and is it worth it, like will it last over time
If you've installed them, did you go with pre taped versions or use your own adhesive?, I want it lined up perfectly so I dont get a crooked trim or something

Would also love to hear thoughts on this mod from another POV alongside helpful tips for getting the install right n all

Yep, side moldings on a Land Cruiser are a no brainer for actual protection, not just looks! The install isn't hard, but you must be precise.
For a straight line, use masking tape or painter's tape as a guide rail. Stick it to the door, measure from the bottom of the door consistently, then lay your molding right along that top edge of the tape.

I got them myself, they last a long time unless they get hit really hard. It's a solid mod that saves you bigger headaches down the road!

I feel body side moldings are one of the most underrated mods for a 100 Series yet some purists act like adding them ruins the truck's "clean lines," as if trail rash and door dings are a better aesthetic choice...Priorities, right?
