CarPlay/Siri volume issue?

I just picked up a 2024 Land Cruiser First Edition a couple of weeks back! It's been good so far but I'm not sure if I'm minor troubles with my CarPlay and Siri. When I'm using Siri, the radio volume doesn't seem to automatically lower like it did in my old car. It's pretty annoying having to manually turn down the music every time I want to ask Siri something, or else I'm yelling into the mic. Am I missing a setting somewhere in the infotainment system or on my iPhone that controls this? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, congrats on your new Land Cruiser! I've heard that Siri on CarPlay isn't automatically dimming the radio volume like it used to. I also heard that unfortunately, there's no setting to change that at the moment, it's a known glitch with the newer Toyota systems. Just be sure to keep your system and iPhone updated, hopefully, a future update will fix it

That Siri issue sounds frustrating. Can you see if "Reduce Loud Sounds" is enabled in your iPhone settings under Sound & Haptics? Also, in the car's audio settings, look for a "ducking" or "media volume during voice" option, some systems let you adjust how audio behaves during voice commands.
