my parents just gave me a car because i turned 30 and still havent bought mine (out of pity maybe hahaaa) it was their old one a 1998 land cruiser 100 v8 i think hahahaha. today i got to test drive it before they fully give the keys to me and wow being on the drivers side changes anything. i saw that my window has defroster elements but the passenger side doesn't? is it nornal that it's that way? i'm not sure if this is something that my parents probably had a mistake on when they got it fixed a while back like is the repair shop going to mess up a window? they might have put the wrong one. 🥲

Lady, please check again. I believe those aren't heating elements, just an AM/FM antenna. Oh and happy birthday!!😄

haha, It's possible that during the repair, the passenger side window wasn't the same as the original one. I'd recommend double checking with the repair shop to see if they replaced it with a non defroster version by mistake. and thats if they acknowledge doing the repair tho

Solid gift even with a side of pity LOL. Yes but I don't think it's a defroster? Like they said it's probably just the antenna. It must have been long enough since your last post so did you manage to check? Ask your parents too if they did replace the window. :)

I got to say that's one solid ride, you lucky gal! and belated birthday! Typically, defrosters are installed on both ides for safety and visibility. If there was a mix-up, the most straightforward solution is a full window replacement of the passenger's side. Another option is an aftermarket defroster kit but of course, they might not appear as seamless as the original integrated defroster on the driver's side.
