With summer just around the corner, I was wondering if it would be possible to keep the car running and lock it? I know about the remote start, but that's not what I want. Let's say I'm on a long drive and I park at a gas station. I want to leave the car running and lock it to keep the cabin temp constant. Is this possible or should I rely on the remote start feature?

Most cars don't let you lock while running for safety, your best bet is using remote start to cool or heat the cabin before locking up. Leaving it running locked isn't recommended

If it's a Toyota Land Cruiser, yes, you can usually leave it running and lock it by using the mechanical key in the fob, just pop it out, lock the door manually, and the engine keeps running
